The Siemens ST100R14C ST Type Transfer Switch is a pre-wired external connection box with a weatherproof conduit for generator connections and is compatible with Siemens Nexus controllers. The Nexus controller senses power outages and initiates the transfer of power to the generator via the automatic transfer switch. The panel provides transfer capability to a select number of critical circuits, as opposed to the entire house. For the chosen critical circuits, the conductors in the main house panel are removed from the breaker and connected with wire nuts to the prewired conductors on the transfer switch. With 2-pole, 250 VAC contactors, it is electrically operated, and mechanically contacts for fast, positive connections.
